Filtered results include mentors who have upcoming availability but let all session requests be auto-declined after a few days. This makes it very difficult for mentees to find new mentors, and I've heard it is especially disheartening for new users. I know multiple people who have left the platform because of this experience.
I highly recommend adding an algorithm/function to check and see how many session requests were accepted vs. declined, and how many were done automatically vs. manually. My recommendation:
  1. If (the past five session requests were auto-declined) OR (the past five sessions were auto-accepted AND the mentor no-showed for all five sessions), then turn off the mentor's session and email them with directions for how they can turn their session back on.
  2. Else, keep the mentor's sessions active, and continue to allow users to request sessions.
Please make it easier for mentees to find mentors who are actually available.
