It appears that the system that sends email notifications looks only at the original meeting time. If there is a cancellation or reschedule, that time is not noted in my connected calendar or through notifications. For example, I received an email notification yesterday (1-Dec 3:24 pm) that a session for tomorrow had been cancelled. Then I got a notification today (2-Dec 2:00 pm) that my meeting with that cancelled session is in 1 day. Hint: It's not. These things are small, but are friction points that lose trust and will ultimately make people miss meetings, further eroding trust.
